Here follows a season-by-season look of the TFN Inter-Club Football Quiz which started during the 2002/03 season.

ST QUIZ: The inaugural competition was run as a knock-out event, with every member on the Club's e-mail directory being automatically entered. Names were drawn into pairs and in each knock-out round, a number of questions were e-mailed to the participants who had until midnight to respond. Bonus points were awarded to the quickest of each pair to respond. The person with the most points gained from correct answers and bonuses proceded into the next round. If there was a draw, the time element decided the outcome. Anyone not bothering to enter scored zero points and was eliminated. If both members didn't enter, both were eliminated which meant a bye for the opponent in the next round! The competition ran round by round over a number of weeks and was successfully completed when DAVID GOLDBERG defeated JEREMY FESS in the first TFFC Inter-Club Football Quiz Final.

ND QUIZ: The format changed in the second competition, when it was held more as a league table format involving a series of weekly rounds. The competition attracted less participants and only nine were left to compete in the eliminator round over five 10-question weeks. Scores were totalled and the two highest scoring participants qualified for the Final. DAVID GOLDBERG retained his title by seeing off STEVE FEIGER in a play-off following an exciting draw in the original tie.

RD QUIZ:: The third event returned to the knock-out format involving over 40 members in a series of rounds, culminating with the Final held in February 2005. Bonus points and the time tie-break were dropped and the number of questions increased from 10 to 15 per round, with the exception of the Final which had 25 questions. STEVE FEIGER reached his second successive Final where he went one better than the previous year by beating PHIL FRIEND.

TH QUIZ: Competition number four was staged in the same format, with two new finalists getting through the various rounds. DEAN INGRAM, defeated semi-finalist the previous year, beat NICK WAITSMAN in the 2006 Final.

TH QUIZ: For the fifth quiz held during the 2006/07 season, the league format adopted for the second competition was reintroduced. Held over five rounds of 15 questions per round, ten competitors contested the event with David Goldberg and PHIL FRIEND finishing in the top two places to qualify for the Final. DAVID GOLDBERG then won the 25-question play-off to capture the prize for the third time in 5 years.

TH QUIZ: The same format was adopted for the 2007/08 competition, which saw Steve Feiger and Dean Ingram win through the qualifying rounds and the semi-final to contest the Final. Former winners both of them, it was STEVE FEIGER who won his second Quiz title after getting no fewer than 19 questions correct out of 25, DEAN INGRAM finishing runner-up.

TH QUIZ: The seventh competition held during season 2008/09 returned to the knock-out format and for the first time was run via email and this website, which featured the draw, results and round-by-round progression. STEVE FEIGER won the Quiz for the third time by defeating JONATHAN COHEN in the Final, equalling David Goldberg's treble.

TH QUIZ: Competition number eight adopted a qualifying golf-type 'cut' system with a semi-final and final round at the end. It was third time lucky for Phil Friend who defeated three-times winner David Goldberg in the Final held in May 2010.

TH QUIZ: The ninth competition for season 2010/11 retained the knock-out format, much like the 2008/09 one. In the biggest competition held yet, 64 names were entered into the hat! JONATHAN COHEN, beaten finalist two seasons previously, surprisingly defeated the holder PHIL FRIEND by 17-13 in the Final to capture the prize for the first time.

TH QUIZ: Moving on to the 2011/12 Quiz – the tenth to be held since it all began in 2002/03 – the format remained the same with 64 individuals being drawn in the opening round. With the number of questions being increased to 25 per round (whereas previously the opening three rounds were only 15 questions), plus a quarter-final over 50 points, former Quiz champion DEAN INGRAM won his second title by defeating TONY HIRSCHSTEIN in the Final by 20-15.

TH QUIZ: After a qualifying round, the 2012/13 competition was played over a number of so-called 'Quizday' rounds with totals being added and the top four making the semi-final. Former TF player STEVE FEIGER defeated the Old Boys manager DAVID GOLDBERG in the Final by 11-6 to capture his fourth Quiz title. Both stood on three wins apiece prior to the Final which consisted of 20 difficult questions. Congratulations to Steve for being the Club's Football Quiz mastermind for season 2012/13! Thank you to everyone who took the time to enter during the season.

TH QUIZ: Competition number 12 saw a return to the knock-out format once again. The two finalists were a repeat of the previous season's pairing and the stats for the competition show that both STEVE FEIGER and DAVID GOLDBERG faced a total of 155 questions over the course of the six elimination rounds, the most ever. The 30 questions in the Final took on a new format of '3-in-1', where three answers were required for each question! Probably the hardest quiz since the competition began, Steve did exceptionally well to score 17 right to David's 6. This enabled Feigs to win a record high fifth Quiz title.

TH QUIZ: For the first time the Quiz moved to a new hosting website (yola.com) for the 13th competition being run during season 2014/15. Fifteen multiple-choice questions were listed online, requiring a simple click of a button to choose the selection, with a straight-forward entry form and a submission button. So no more hitting 'Reply', typing in answers and submitting an email! The 'Quizday' format returned with four rounds being played before the semi-final. The Yola website hosted full details of the 2014/15 competition, including the standings, rules and previous finalists. Also for the first time, the Final was conducted via phone calls by the organiser Nigel Kyte, with both finalists answering 15 questions which were not multiple-choice. DEAN INGRAM pipped STEVE FEIGER by a very narrow 7-6 to win his third Quiz Final. He also prevented Steve from completing a hat-trick of consecutive successes.

TH QUIZ: All change for the 2015/16 competition! The TFN Football Quiz was no longer open to all and sundry on the Club's email directory – members, 'Fortune friends' and guests alike. For the first time the Quiz was being confined to TFFC registered players only – ie. those who have been registered to play league football for the Club. Said organiser Nigel Kyte: "I have had a few members saying that there is little point entering because so and so always wins it. One suggested having the Quiz for the Club's players only. Well, for the 2015/16 season I took these comments onboard and confined the competition to soley players. Hopefully this made 2015/16 Quiz more interesting." The knock-out format was retained and DAVID GOLDBERG won his fourth Quiz title, beating former winner JONATHAN COHEN in the Final by 12–10.

TH QUIZ: The 2016/17 competition was played over a number of rounds and was again open to Club Members, guests on the email list and 'Friends' on the Club's Facebook group. The 'usual suspects' won through to the Final yet again – namely STEVE FEIGER and DAVID GOLDBERG – and Steve took his sixth Quiz title. Both participants were then 'retired' by the organiser Nigel, who said: "Steve and David are by far the most knowledgeable so it's time to give others a chance of winning the TFN Football Quiz!"

TH QUIZ: Both the 2017/18 and 2018/19 competitions were run over two rounds of 20 questions, where participants used a separate online multiple-answer form in a simple click A, B, C or D format. Semi-finals and a final followed involving the last four players (three in the 2018/19 competition). In an effort to attract better participation, the Club offered £50 off the next season's membership fee for any Club Member who won the Quiz. STEVEN BLACK beat JACK MORRIS to win the 2017/18 quiz but kindly donated his prize back to the Club.

TH QUIZ: ALAN HAROUNOFF saw off ROB JAY and JONATHAN COHEN in the 2018/19 competition to become the first member to benefit from a reduced membership.

TH QUIZ: In the 2019/20 competition, the 18th to be held since it first started in 2002, former TFFC player PHIL ARNOLD pulled off a shock victory over the six-times Quiz champion STEVE FEIGER, who was allowed to take part again. In the Final, the pair were fired 20 hard questions by organiser Nigel Kyte via WhatsApp, with 30 seconds to answer each question posted as a pre-prepared graphic. Three points were awarded for each correct answer plus a bonus point for the fastest. Phil went on to grab the title by 29 points to 23. Earlier in the competition, he had answered 34 correctly out of 50 questions in the preliminary rounds, whilst runners-up Steve was the most successful of the qualifiers, getting 39 right. The losing semi-finalists were past winners Jonathan Cohen and Alan Harounoff.

TH QUIZ: The competition for season 2020/21 took place during the lockdowns caused by the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and due to circumstances out of the organiser's control was never completed as originally intended, which was over a number of rounds followed by the final. Sadly, only seven people bothered to participate which was a major reason why the effort to run further rounds was considered not to be worthwhile. Therefore, the competition was curtailed short after one round of 25 questions, where PHIL ARNOLD, the reigning champion, scored 18 points. Second was JONATHAN COHEN and STEVE FEIGER on 16 points each. Since there were no provisions for a tie-break in Round 1, they were declared joint second. Fourth came former Quiz winner Alan Harounoff (15 correct), fifth Kerry Higham (12), sixth Jonanthan Dubiner (11) and seventh Peter Kyte with 9.

TH QUIZ: The Quiz for season 2021/22 was the 20th to be organised and was arranged to run over two rounds of 20 questions per round. Sadly it attracted the lowest number of participants on record which rendered a final not worth doing, so the aggregate score over the two rounds counted. KERRY HIGHAM scored 21 correct out of 40, with former Quiz winners JONATHAN COHEN and ALAN HAROUNOFF both scoring 19 each. Fourth came Gideon Wetrin with 17 correct. Kerry, in her second TFFC quiz, becomes the first female participant to capture the Quiz award.

ST QUIZ: The 21st annual Quiz took place for season 2022/23 over two rounds, each comprising 20 multiple-choice questions using the Yola online form. Out of all the eligible Club members invited to compete, only nine bothered to take part whch was disappointing. Defending champion Kerry Higham topped the list with Alan Harounoff in second place. They both tied on points but Kerry took the higher place on the tie-break. Because of the closeness of this qualifying section, a Final was held via WhatsApp in similar fashion to the 2019/20 competition. This time one point was awarded for each correct answer, whilst fastest replies were counted to be used in case there was a tie on points. ALAN HAROUNOFF scored 8 right compared to KERRY HIGHAM with 5, to win his second Quiz award. Congratulations to Alan and thanks to those individuals who participated.
